The team at South Texas Orthopedic Specialists is led by highly qualified and skilled surgeon, Michael Perez, M.D. Dr. Perez, orthopedic surgeon, received his doctorate of medicine from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He received his training in general surgery from The University of Oklahoma Science Center and completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at West Virginia University. Dr. Perez completed his sports medicine fellowship at The University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Perez is board certified (2020) from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons, as well as a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a fellow of Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy. Dr. Perez is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
